Usah Dibenci Pelaku Maksiat

               Diceritakan bahawa suatu ketika Nabi Isa a.s. sedang berjalan bersama seorang muridnya. Tiba-tiba seorang lelaki yang terkenal suka melakukan maksiat mengikuti mereka dari belakang. Murid Nabi Isa itu menoleh ke arah orang itu dengan penuh kebencian. 

Lalu dia (lelaki yang suka melakukan maksiat) berdoa di dalam hati, "Ya Allah, janganlah engkau himpunkan diriku bersama orang ini".

Nabi Isa tiba-tiba menoleh kepada muridnya dan berkata, "doamu telah dikabulkan. Allah menerima taubat orang itu dan mengusir kamu. Pergilah engkau dari sisiku".

               Kita sememangnya membenci perbuatan maksiat. Namun, kebencian kita kepada maksiat tidak bererti membenci dan menghina orang yang melakukannya. Sering kali sikap negatif sebegini membuatkan orang semakin jauh daripada agama. Sebaliknya, kita harus membuka hati kita untuk mengasihi lalu memberi nasihat yang tulus kepadanya. Kelembutan selalunya lebih berkesan dalam mengubah orang lain daripada kekerasan atau penghinaan.
